22) Canyon Lands NP Utah

This was another drive through park. There are a lot of really cool hikes here, but we will come back to explore more of the area. Kaleigh needed to give her knee a break, so we decided to just drive through and see the overlooks in Canyon Lands. It’s a good thing we decided to not hike today because it was so hot and humid; just getting out of the car and walking a little ways to the over looks was exhausting🥵

This park was gorgeous and it’s so big! We visited The Island In The Sky district. We walked out to an overlook and climbed a little on the giant rocks!

You don’t experience the same effect of the landscape when you just pull to the side of the road instead of hiking, but it’s still amazing to look out and see the brush strokes of God everywhere💕
We’ve explored a lot of what Major John Wesley Powell discovered on his expedition!
We did the short .5 mile hike to Mesa Arch! It was crowded here but the arch and the drop off right under it was breathtaking.

We will definitely be coming back here another time to explore the trails and do some white water rafting tours!
