23) Cedaredge, Grand Mesa National Forest, Black Canyon of The Gunnison NP Colorado

This is where we get to relax. Our house there in Colorado was amazing! The girls loved it too:) They are livin large! We’ve enjoyed watching the mule deer daily and wild turkeys running around the property, as well as some outside cats. It was pretty close to the Grand Mesa National Forest.

We saw a couple rainbows throughout our stay💕
We had 4 nice bucks and 2 does outside our window!
He’s goin insane!!!

Grand Mesa is the largest flat topped mountain in the world! It covers hundreds of square miles!

We saw a very stuffed chipmunk on the top of the mountain😂

The steep walls of Black Canyon range in depth from 2700 feet north of Warner Point to 1750 feet at the Narrows. No other canyon combines the depth, narrowness, and sheerness of Black Canyon. The Gunnison River has a very steep gradient. Within the
monument, the river has an average fall of 95 feet per mile. This gives the river the energy needed to cut downward faster than other kinds of erosion can widen it.

the kneeling camel.
This man’s crazy 😂
We are heading out early to get home a little sooner! Go to part 5 to follow our trip home
